Never Underestimate Uncle Sam. Your deposits will be seen, so there is no hiding dog business money. Luckily there is enough profit to cover the taxes and still leave plenty for you.
Yeah, not going to deny it. This one stinks! People who raise almost any other animal do not have to pay sales tax, but many folks need to create a business and pay sales tax. You can pass the cost on to your customer, but most customers won't take kindly to knowing they are, so just make sure your prices are high enough for you to cover whatever sales tax your state/county require. (And make sure you send it to the government!!!)
All it takes to file your business with the government is a Schedule C. I suggest you purchase HR Block software and try to do taxes yourself. It is not hard. The software asks you questions and puts the information in for you.
