Just like humans, many bi*ches will experience PMS when coming into heat and will attack another female, even one that may have been hanging out with her from birth.
Here are some quick tips on when to go to vet and when to handle at home.
Update on June.
Do NOT, Do NOT, Do NOT allow anyone to search your facility without a warrant. And everyone who raises more than a few litters, needs to be a member. Once you think $600 is a lot of money (And yes, there will come that day) then it is time to join.
Not knowing your rights, and not having these guys to back you up, can result in a COMPLETE LOSS OF EVERY DOG & BUSINESS!!!!
Breeders constantly battle with devout "Adopt/Don't Shop" sychophants. They will call the police on you, and will have never even drove by your facility. Now, I don't know why police get involved unless they have proof of an issue, because it is a huge waste of their time, but for some reason, they do.
And if you are one of the unfortunate folks whos Animal Control is a PETA member, you had better have these guys at the Calvary Group on speed dial. I had to use them twice in 2 years. Once for a bogus call to sheriff, and once for a false BBB report. Both were over in minutes on my side. Worth every penny!
No chickens/birds. Keep cats out a nursery. The further you can keep them apart, the better. Have rainwater run off, go from dogs to the other species.
